And individual value has the weeks score, and the change relative to the previous week.

We measure based on four criteria:

  • Activity: Actions that indicate usage or School 4 One at a basic level.
  • Assessment: Actions that indicate the usage of School 4 One for assessment.
  • Feedback: Actions that indicate teachers are providing feedback to students on work.
  • Mastery: Students achieving Mastery in assessments that are standard based.

The header contains an aggregated view for the School.

The header columns for the reports are:

  • Active Teachers: This is the number of teachers using School 4 One. It is the numbers of active teachers during the period. An active teacher is a teacher that posted a lesson or graded assessments.
  • Lessons Posted:  Numbers of lessons that were posted to the students in the period.
  • New Data Points:  A data point is a single standard base measurement on the work of a student. A New Data Point is the result of a teacher actively grading a student on a standard based scale. A single assessment may generate multiple data points. Data points are only generated from grading assessments.
  • Student Submissions: This measures the amount of student work that was send from a Student to the teacher. Answering an assessment generates one Student Submission. A student submission is usually a file.
  •  Graded Students: Number of students that submitted work and that work got graded by a teacher.
  • Recorded Feedback: Number of instances in which a teacher recorded feedback on a student assessment. Recorded Feedback is an advanced practice for students that need a deeper explanation on how could they improve their work.
  • Annotated Feedback: Number of instances in which a teacher annotated the student work as means to provide feedback. It is a more basic way of providing feedback than the Recorded feedback, and appropriate in most cases.

After the header, a detailed report per teachers follows with the following columns

  • Lessons posted: Numbers of lessons that were posted to the students in the period.
  • Assessments: Number of assessments posted to the students.
  • Answers: Number of student submissions  sent from a student to the teacher.
  • Mastery Points: Number of Data Points generated that had the maximum score (4).
  • Graded: Number of Data Points generated as a result of the teacher’s grading work.
  • Students: Number of students in all of the teacher’s classes.
  • Annotated Feedback: Number of instances in which a teacher annotated the student work as means to provide feedback. It is a more basic way of providing feedback than the Recorded feedback, and appropriate in most cases.

Please remember the reports are a new feature. So, provide feedback, we’ll improve it where necessary.

cheers, Felipe
